ISLAMIC, Umayyad Caliphate. temp. 'Abd al-Malik ibn Marwan, AH 65-86 / AD 685-705. Pashiz (Bronze, 22 mm, 0.50 g), anonymous Arab-Sasanian type, without mint and date, circa AH 60s-80s = AD 680s-690s. On the left, large draped imperial bust wearing crown surmounted by cross; on the right, smaller draped imperial bust wearing crown surmounted by cross; above, cross; around, blundered legend. Rev. Cross potent on three steps flanked to left and right by crescent and star; around, blundered legend. Gyselen 85. Very rare. Struck from worn dies, otherwise, good fine.
